Senior Executives Devise Ways to Give Back
At Cafe Madrid in downtown DC on a Thursday lunchtime in June, twelve alums, led by Councilor Henry Smith, gathered to discuss the next steps for the HKS DC Alumni Council's new and exciting start-up initiative "DC Kennedy School Alumni of Senior Executives"(K.A.S.E).
The group discussed and made decisions to move the initiative forward, in order to fulfil its goals of:
Providing pro-bono consulting to Save the Children;
Developing a plan with AARP to create new professional opportunities for senior alumni;
Planning Fall luncheon panels featuring our own alumni experts.
The Council is excited about this new effort, which will enable alumni to lend their years of expertise to pro bono projects.
The Council is grateful to the continued leadership of Councilor Henry Smith (MPA 1980) and Friend of the Council Irina Kunovskaya (EE 2014).
