HKS DC alumni were included in the Washington National Opera’s Alumni Night on November 22, 2019 at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. First, we were privy to a pre-performance discussion, which put Mozart’s last opera into context. Next, we enjoyed the whimsical, sold-out performance of “The Magic Flute” by a talented cast of “young performers” against creative backdrops by acclaimed illustrator Maurice Sendak (also known for his fantastical drawings in...

Wreaths Across America aims to honor every laid-to-rest veteran at the holidays with a wreath or a rock and the out-loud pronouncement of their name. Current and former KSR editors brought copies of the 2018 print journal and shared a few of the ways alumni can be part of the publication’s growing community of readers and writers.
