A great reminder of leadership lessons...

Councilor Ruma Samdani (MPA 2012) hosted Henna Inam, author of 'Wired for Authenticity'. The discussion drew on Henna's extensive knowledge and experience in the field of Transformational Leadership. 24 alumni attended on a dark Wednesday evening, but left invigorated and stimulated by Henna's insights and the opportunity to delve into leadership concepts and approaches, just like many had done at HKS. Earlier this year, Councilor and former Council President Allison Shapira (MPA 2010) asked Congresswoman Martha McSally (MPP 1990) to speak to the DC Alumni Network. The Arizona Republican agreed and attended a special breakfast in her honor at the National Press Club on October 21st. Congresswoman Martha McSally (R-AZ and MPP 1990) Organized by Councilors Nancy Bearg (MPA 1978) and Ellen Stiefvater (MPP 2002), the event drew over 30 alumni.
