Pioneering Alum Screens World Class Music Documentary
HKS DC Council co-sponsored a unique screening and panel discussion at the National Press Club of Soundbreaking. A passion project by Producer David Lanstaff (College 1977 & HBS 1981) with project COO Barbara Zadina (MPP, 1987), Soundbreaking examines the interplay of technological and musical innovations. The PBS series presents the stories of some of the greatest artists of our time - what influenced them and how they influenced others - and observes the impact that recorded music has had on society and our culture. Already sold into 33 countries with record-breaking reviews, Soundbreaking has been nominated for Critic’s Choice Documentary Award, and has been hailed as “one of the best music documentaries” by artists such as Tony Visconti (David Bowie producer), Don Was (Rolling Stones producer) and Linda Perry (Christina Aguilera producer) who said, “This is the best music show I’ve ever seen…I think kids need to see this. It’ll be inspiring.”
