Nominations Close for HKS DC Alumni Council Election 2016

Self-nominations for the 2016 HKS DC Alumni Council Election closed at midnight on May 15th. Voting begins on June 1st. Nominations opened on May 1st with this post:

Want to make a difference for the Kennedy School here in Washington DC? The HKS DC Alumni Council is seeking local alums to serve with us. The Council connects Kennedy School alumni with each other, with the community, with HKS and with Harvard University through social and professional events and through public service opportunities.

We need talented, committed and enthusiastic Councilors to engage and energize our DC community of over 9,000 alums. We strongly encourage diversity on our Council through people from different backgrounds and HKS programs.

Please consider nominating yourself here.

Under our DC Council By-Laws, we have 15 elected Councilors each serving three-year terms. As we do every year, we are now electing five members to the Council.

The Elections Committee will review applications and select ten finalists for voting by the general DC Alumni Community from June 1-15th. Results will be announced by July 1st with new Councilors taking office on August 1st.

Councilors are required to attend 2/3 of our monthly Council meetings each year, which are held on weekday evenings in downtown DC, and to participate in at least one of our committees.

Self-nominations forms are due by midnight on May 15th. The link to this form is here. Please contact us at info@hksdc.org should you have any questions. We look forward to your interest in our Council.
