About the event
You are cordially invited to an open discussion with Bridget Gildea, HKS Director of Strategic Marketing and Program Development, to consider your ideas for areas of focus for new HKS Executive Education programs. Bridget will be in DC early September with Professor David Eaves to garner advice on the new program he will be chairing, Digital Transformation in Government: Innovating Public Policy & Service, Feb 11-16th 2018. There will be another HKS Alumni Council breakfast event on digital government with the Professor that you can register for, more details on which will follow.
This meeting on new programing ideas is open to all HKS alumni and will take place on Wednesday, September 6th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, in the private room of Buffalo Billiards, 1330 19th St., NW. Issues to explore will include:
- Class topics, e.g. leadership vs. authority, governmental ethics, public sector collaboration, crisis leadership, political management, policy development
- Programs on campus or in DC
-Advisability of single-day classes and/or multi-day classes
-HKS faculty and/or Washington-area experts
-Suggestions for a possible new HKS program, based upon Washington alums’ recommendations and possibly based in Washington
With nearly 10,000 alumni in the area, HKS is eager to hear our thoughts and recommendations for increasing our collective educational opportunities and our relevance in Cambridge and in Washington. Given enough interest and support, this will be the first in a series of conversation between area alumni and HKS on possibilities for the future.
