About the event

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the challenges of coordinating a public health response amid a patchwork of state and local health systems, governments and political divide. Efforts were further complicated by the complex nature of distilling and communicating developments in science in ways partners and the public understand and trust. A presidential election year further complicated the ability to triage the crisis and stem the spread of new threats to public health and the economy.

This virtual event is our second installment in partnership with the Treasury Executive Institute (https://home.tei.treasury.gov/), a leading provider of federal shared services. TEI provides virtual and onsite training to senior executives and leaders at the Department of the Treasury and to more than forty other federal Departments and agencies in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and other locations across the country.
