About the event

HKS alums are invited to a one-hour Coffee for Kids event at Safe Shores on Thursday January 9th from 8:30–9:30am at Safe Shores,  429 O Street, NW, Washington DC 20001.  

Safe Shores is the DC Children's Advocacy Center, which provides free therapy, forensic interviews, clothing, emergency assistance and  other services for children who experience abuse and violence in our own community of Washington, DC. The purpose of the event is not  to fundraise, but for interested members of the community to  tour the facility, learn about the services, build awareness of Safe  Shores, and foster well-informed conversations about child abuse.

It’s a  5-minute walk from Mount Vernon Metro on Green/Yellow Line. Parking is  available. Coffee and breakfast will be provided. For more information,  visit www.safeshores.org.
