About the event

The HKS DC Alumni Council and Kennedy School Alumni Senior Executive (KASE) invite you to join us for a discussion on BabyBoomer Careers and life after 55 with Shira Harrington, a Founder and President of Purposeful Hire, Inc and Elizabeth White, Harvard MBA and author of 55, Unemployed, and Faking Normal.

Shira Harrington will introduce the BoomerWorks project, a social venture, that helps Boomers navigate the new job economy and create flexible, sustainable income by transitioning to a temporary, project or short-term work (“gigs”).

Elizabeth White, Harvard MBA and non-profit executive with domestic and international expertise in economic development, aging solutions and gender equality, will talk about her book 55, Unemployed, and Faking Normal, that offers real stories of survival from people who’ve been there and back and strategies for building your best possible life on a modest income.
