Breakfast with Congressman Connolly

The HKS DC Alumni Council and co-host Forum One welcomed Congressman Gerry Connolly (MPA ‘79) and about 40 alums and guests for breakfast and conversation on Friday March 10, 2017. The Congressman represents the Virginia district near DC covering Fairfax and Prince William counties.

Congressman Connolly is on several key committees in the House, including the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, where he serves as the Ranking Democrat of the Subcommittee on Government Operations. Congressman Connolly also serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and leads several caucuses.

He spoke on current political topics, including the President's agenda and the budget and legislative agenda for the 115th Congress. Questions from the audience were varied, some with a theme of a return to bipartisanship. It was a constructive and informative session.
