About the event

Are you interested in getting a job in a Presidential administration at some point in your career, but not sure how? Please join the HKS DC Alumni Council for a panel about the ins and outs of obtaining a job in the U.S. Federal Government as a political or career federal employee.

The panel will address such topics as using the Plum Book and other avenues for finding jobs, interpreting job codes, how to get a political role now that the formal transition is over, and considerations that current federal employees should keep in mind before taking a political role. Please feel welcome to come with your own questions.

Funmi Olorunnipa Badejo, newly appointed Associate Counsel in the Office of the White House Counsel, will share her experiences from start to finish of finding and obtaining a political appointment in the Biden-Harris administration.
