About the event

As we transition from one year to the next, how are YOU processing 2020 and approaching 2021? If there is one thing the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us about leader(ship), it is the importance of authenticity. Good, authentic leaders generate trust and confidence, and they are made not born. The best leaders go beyond management expertise and bring their authentic selves into their leadership. These times of transition are important times to reflect on Who and Why am I?

Dr. Dana Born will help you connect the power in your life story to enhance “I/Me” to ‘we”, to shape your leadership style and discover that authentic leadership is about leading by example and empowering others.

Dr. Dana Born – a lecturer in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, and in the Center for Public Leadership and a distinguished former military leader – will guide you to step into your distinctive personal story, leader(ship) purpose and nudge you into leading more effectively.

This Harvard Kennedy School DC Alumni Council virtual session will provide you with ideas, techniques and tools to grow your self-awareness, develop a ‘learning mindset’ and assist you in your daily and lifelong leadership development journey.

In the unusual times we are in, what is holding you back from reaching your distinctive leadership potential?
